Magnum Welders Sponsorship
Magnum Welders are members of the local Cobden Business Network and Progressing Cobden Inc. as well as supporting and sponsoring enterprising upcoming local youth.
We have sponsored Ted Collins at Ted Collins Racing a 14 year old from Warrnambool for the 3 years who is currently competing in the Australian, Victorian and New Zealand Supersport Championships.
Now aged 21 he rode in 2016 for Next Gen Motorsports on a Suzuki GSX-R 600 finishing a very respectable 5th overall in his first year on the 600 and racing at national level. The goal Next Gen have set for Ted is to become the 2017 Australian Supersport Champion and then join Troy Guenther on a BMW Superbike for the 2018 Championship. A big call for young Ted and Magnum Welders will be supporting him every step of the way. In 2017 we donated the new Mini Tig AC/DC 200amp Welder to help with repairs and maintenance throughout the season.
Update: Ted Collins has won the Australian 2017 Supersport Championship. Congratulations!!
We have also sponsored a dynamic young lady from Cobden, Jess Moulden at Jessica Moulden Racing.
In 2008 Jess created history by becoming the first female Victorian Formula 500 Champion and then followed up in 2012 being the first ever female Australian Formula 500 Champion.
Jess is now combining Sprintcar and Speedcar duties throughout the 2016-17 season with the backing of Magnum Welders. Graeme & Helen donated a Mig welder to the team to assist in the maintenance and upkeep of both cars this season.
